Find out what Oobleck is and how you can make it at home to test out your lander before bringing it to the Adler Planetarium's Community Bash.

Oobleck is a non-Newtonian fluid, which means that it behaves in strange ways. Unlike Newtonian fluids, Oobleck has properties that resemble both a liquid and a solid.
Place your hand gently on its surface and your hand will sink into the ooze. Try to yank your hand out forcefully, however, and you will find it difficult to do without taking all the Oobleck with you. The best way to learn more about the properties of Oobleck is to play with some yourself. Below, find a recipe to mix up your own batch of this fun goo. Interested in diving even deeper?
